Description

This dragon figure is located in front of a giant clock, set in the grass at the base of Wat Pnom, a Buddhist Temple built in 1373. The temple is the tallest religious structure in Phnom Penh, Cambodia at 27 m above ground. The temple, the giant clock, and the dragon figure are all located within a large traffic circle near the Mekong River. I didn't realize at the time I took this picture that the dragon wasn't permanent. When I was thinking of posting this picture I couldn't find anything that gave me a clue. I finally searched under temples and giant clocks and was able to locate the place where this dragon had been erected! I is no longer there, at least not on Google Earth on my I phone!
