Description
Anyone of a certain age from the UK or Europe will remember this car.
I brought a good condition 10 year old one in 1984 for £350 and put these type rally wheel arches on it, try buying one for that now.
Found the free Mk1 on the net and it needed a bit of work. I'd love to see more Mk1 and Mk2 Escort models.
Thanks for looking,
Mike.

Nice image Maxidyne. I remember it well. Although I passed my test in a MK2, my first car was a 1969 (G Reg) Mk1. A real wreck but I'd just passed my test and was a bit too eager to get on the road. It also had the flared wheel arches like this one. All fitted with filler and newspaper. :)

Cheers Stuart, that's great to hear. Mine was a 1974 1100 2 door, I fitted the arches and wheels but couldn't afford to put a bigger engine in it as I was a 19 year old apprentice at the time.
They were very good cars though.

This is very cool, Mike. Love the charcoal grey background and ground plane. I am surprised you don't do more NASCAR tributes, MIke, since you seem to really love putting sponsor decals all over the place (LOL). But, you do it so well, mate! Goooood job.

I have bought an Escort GT 2 door in the middle of the seventies, after my CitroënTraction. Many brakes problem, I only kept it six months. The wheel arches are very well made!
