Another brilliantly contrasted black and white---this one with even more blacks. What struck me, when this went up, is that you got real detail in very dark sections: the upper walls of that building on the right, the fence and wiry details on the left, the lines of the phone wires, etc. With such a foreboding street shot---with a near totally black street (beautiful!)---you contrast with heavy light on the cars, where even the black car looks lit-up. And how you found 3 such similar car shapes is beyond me, esp as this shot gives the sense of "the last cars left on earth". Fine journalistic seeing. Fine composition too. Wonderful black and white work, with a real feeling of abandonment and rich deep blacks...
