I'm always sorry when this stand of flowers is over for the year, as they attract an astonishing range of insects.

Both flower and hoverfly are real eye-catching specimens! I tried to get Inula hookeri at my local garden centre, but they had no idea at all. I suppose the larger town nurseries may stock it. Or did you grow it from seed Andrea?
