Description

Unfortunately this one is black and white, because i have forgot that i have set the monochrome mode for my camera. ;-) But it is not that bad or what do you think? Thank you very much for viewing and commenting. I appreciate it very much.

It looks good, although I should like to see it in colour to ID it!

I saw this when you posted it, before I read your description. I honestly thought you had intended to make it monochrome. Then I read your description, and realized you didn't. Well, I'm a big fan of monochrome, as it hones everything down to essentials; yet it has its own poetry. (Like the difference between a symphony and a string quartet.) The stamens on these flowers are like little star-bursts, in monochrome; and the detail on the hoverfly is almost like stained glass and fabric. It has a quality all its own. And the bokeh'd background is just a swarm of white, which is a sweet contrast with the sharp portions of the pic. Beautiful work---showing that you are as at-home with monochrome as you are with color. (Vertraut sein mit...ist das richtig? I don't know the Deutsch for "at home with".) A fine, sensitive image.
