Description

Robot: I think about this world and how strange it is, that a weak soft-bodied creature like you, so shortlived, can imagine, invent and then manufacture creatures like me, stronger, smarter and so superior to you in every way - and yet be incapable of finding any solutions to all the problems you have made for yourselves. What are you when your body is dead? Is there anything left but a memory of you in the minds of your friends – and when they too are all gone, where then are you? And what use to you all your chests of gold? Why have you never put all your talents into eradicating diseases and finding ways of preventing your bodies aging and dying instead of eternally devising new ways to kill each other? Captain: So you think you’re so very clever, eh? More intelligent than a human? Very well, smartarse - you find the cures, then! Robot: You programmed me to kill for you, not to help Mankind.

This is cool. If you do away with disease and murder and war and aging, then what do you do with all of the people that will crowd the earth? How will you house them and feed them and keep them busy? Man without challenge is....well, is nothing. Our ability to respond to challenge is what makes humans so unique. With nothing to "worry" about, we will wither and die.
