Description

Another photo of the corner directly outside my house . Some people commented how peaceful my last photo looked, but nothing could be further from the truth. This is a major road, albeit tree lined. There is almost constant traffic at almost all times, and at night an emergency vehicle about every half hour. Also in term time there is the to and fro of supporters of what our council calls the 'night time economy', who can be selfishly loud and quarrelsome. Sadly it is socially acceptable to drink to excess in Britain, but not in my house. My lodgers get moved out if they show any sign of drunkenness or drugs use. There are plenty of other places they can live!

Major streets are usually very busy and noisy like you say. Hope the noise doesn't bother you or the pets. Driving while intoxicated laws are very stiff here in Canada--- Rightfully So indeed. Sadly the harassing, loud and noisy night lifers get away with a lot in your neck of the woods The NO Tolerance Rule you have is quite appropriate and fair.

Great camera work as always Andrea.

It looked peaceful. Sorry that so many humans are such a nuisance. The laws in America for driving drunk are tough, but not enforced. Just being drunk in public and being stupid earns a night in the tank. Good for you for sticking up for your rights in your home. In America it could take you years to remove someone from your house. Thru the court system that is. 😏

Wonderful capture! Bev said it best and unfortunately it almost takes an act of God to move the noisy parasites away

I know your road, and this gives a much more realistic impression (in an impressionistic manner!). It's a lovely area, but definitely not as quiet as one might assume from most shots! Well done.

Gee! I never realized, that your road was that busy. About lodgers, you are lucky living in UK, as it seems you can get rid of a bad lodger in no time. That is not possible here, just like that.

We live in a cul de sac so the only cars coming her are either visitors or owners. Very quiet here.

Very impressionistic. May be noisy and busy out front but what a slice of heaven you have around back.
