Description

My friend took this photo of me while I was wearing MY sunglasses. 'The light hurts my eyes!' Yeah! I look a bit scruffy but hey! it's me. The operation was a success and I can now see at least 20/20 out of both eyes. I guess I am quite the comedian when I'm under the influence of the drugs they used as I heard that I had the team almost rolling on the floor as they worked on my eye. I wish you all a great Friday and weekend. Thank you all for your wonderful and kind wishes. Mike

Great news about the op being successful and excellent that you can see clearly again. I had a chuckle at the image. 😄

Good for you, and you look better than I do trust me. If you saw me with you new 20/20 peepers you would hurl. I wish I could get 20/20 but the eye doctor told me that is impossible in my case. On the good side I just got a 50" 4k monitor so I can see what I type....Not that , that helps much as I can not type.

Ah ok I see now :) , glad the surgery went well, and these sunglasses are funny heh ;) - With 20/20 on both eyes, you see better that I ever did (I see everything blurred from 50-60 centimeters, since I'm a kid lol).

When you posted that you were having your first operation, I was only 2 weeks late to comment and send my wishes. ("Only 2 weeks late" was said with irony. I felt like a jerk for being that late.) BUT. Now I'm a month and a HALF late on your coming through both operations with flying colors, and that's only because I wasn't commenting anywhere in that time. In any case, it was great to hear this went so well, and that you didn't have lots of residual reactions to it, I mean beyond what's normal. And also, I got to see a picture of you (more than one!), and that's another plus, as I haven't seen a pic of you until this fall. Great to see you, sir! And looking so good! (If you used your comic cahones, you'd have posted shot of you with a head bandage, and Frankenstein's face.) As for your jokes while under the influence (with the doctors), too bad someone didn't record them: You could start a second career as a standup. I assume you did do any "I just flew in from Detroit, and boy are MY arms tired!" jokes. I'd forgive you if you did, but I"m hoping you didn't go back to the Catskills circuit. ("Well, ladies and germs...") You can see why a lot of comics do drugs! And I have to say, the few times doctors came at my eye with sharp instruments, I wasn't telling jokes. I was threatening with everything I had. Mel Brooks had an old line, "don't come near my EYES!" That's what I was thinking on those occasions.

I'm very happy you came through with flying colors, Mike, and I wish you all the best in your health, from here on out.
