Description
Hailey is preparing for bed in what seems to be a deserted old house where she has come to catalog the library. She hears the sound of footsteps and cautiously opens the door to the hallway and is confronted by a figure in black holding a lantern.
“Hello, sorry if I startled you. I’m Matilda, the housekeeper here. Let me know if you need anything. I hope you have a good rest tonight.”
Hailey is far from certain. At least she isn’t alone in the house, but the spooky looking housekeeper has such a penetrating gaze…
