My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Beautiful light & great compositional balance of darks & lights. It also has a timeless quality to it - it could easily have been taken 100 years ago...

What delight! I do so admire early risers, and I know I miss out on some pleasures. Thankyou for this one!

AW! what a wonderful shot this is. Grasses are so interesting against a good contrasting background like here. Love it. UM! About the ebots, no, I compared them with the activity feed. They are similar to my ebots. Not much is going on in my end of RR.

This is sooooo lovely Tara! You see so much beauty in the simple things around us.

Amazing capture Tara. God bless.

The details are amazing here! I love seeing the individual grass-tuft thingies and the individual grass blades! Monochrome makes it even better! This is really amazing and I love the dip and the rise, and for some reason, this makes me think of a musical expression of some kind. Really stunning!

Simple but brilliant...

So you got up way early for this? Is that what your description was saying? (Or were you being ironic, lol.) I just didn't think you rose at 4 a.m. to get shots. I kind of thought you drew the line, given that you get wonderful shots any time of day or night. In any case, your black and white and your treatment of the whites make this a magic lantern type of shot, the stalks are almost like carvings on glass. Beautifully treated, and the background gives a very subtle shadowplay for the piece. A beautiful take on prairie grass. And composed as a cascade going down from right to left. Perfect black and white.

Very artistic, especially in b&w! Charming morning mood... M.
