Episyrphus balteatus on one of my best autumn flowering daisies.
Helianthus Lemon Queen makes a strong tall clump up to 2 metres tall.
On a bright day every flower can have an insect on it.
The molluscs have started to eat the tablecloth........

When I first saw the title to this pick, I thought of a song by the Beetles (not those 4 humans) but the real beetles, stag beetles, I believe...and well...it was a different song, but still. I love this shot! I love the colors and of course your insect model is perfectly posed! This is a gorgeous shot and well...hungry molluscs are always nibbling something, aren't they? It's what they do, they nibble...or lick since many have spiky tongues. This is a marvelous photo. Very rich. Very lush.
