Voodoos, or even ETs, in this remarkable illustration, Yves. They look so pliable in their slender way..

I really love the shadow-play of these two dancers, very creative Yves - bewitching to say the least ! or as Frank Sinatra used to sing: "It's witchcraft, wicked witchcraft !"
J'aime vraiment le jeu d'ombre de ces deux danseurs, très créatif Yves - envoûtant pour dire le moins! Ou comme Frank Sinatra l'habitude de chanter: «C'est la sorcellerie, la sorcellerie méchante!"
Cheers BB

Masterful.
This looks like a poster from the 1920s and 1930s, from Paris. The woman on the left looks like Josephine Baker (who worked in Paris in those years). And your long curving lines---on both women---feel like many of the fashion illustrations of that age; where the women were given long legs and very small waist-lines, and sleek curves to their torsos and necks. It also has some of the sweep of Hirschfeld's masterful ink drawings for the New York Times: But, with all those styles (which you may not have had in mind when you painted this), this is still 100% Yves, with your specially-chosen colors, all used brilliantly; and a tangle between the two women's bodies, as if the voodoo ceremony united them with mysterious energies...
I love the snakes, or snake-like (blue) elements curling around the two women. And the high almost African hairdo of the woman in front. As well as the intense, inward expressions on their faces. And the shadowplay (which Brigitte wrote of, above). You've used medium grays in a number of your more recent paintings, and you've used them quite well. This feels like a passionate mix of ballet and primal dance; and it feels like a ritual. I love the few long red nails; and the tiger-stripe shoes on the woman in back. (You've continued the line of her leg right into the heel of her shoe: Beautifully done!) A masterful, exotic image, which evokes all kinds of music. Terrific work, again, Yves.
