Description
Shion's POV:
A fork in the road, so to speak. Shion however didn’t recognize it from before. What if they swam the wrong way?
Shion clamped down her teeth. She felt a tightness in her chest already, but she ignored it at once. Get herself and Emireth out of there before they drowned, that was her focus.
She pulled out her iPhone, looking for the map it made tracking their path into the cave. The display flickered incessantly. Was the battery dying, or the phone itself from too much submersion?
She felt Emireth move closer to her, but she remained transfixed on her phone’s abnormal behavior, until it died.
Emireth's POV:
The passageway split didn’t seem right to Emireth. It got to the point where one passageway looked the same as any other. They’ve been under too long.
She looked at Shion remaining calm, even stoic. While she appreciated Shion’s current seriousness of the situation, it also unnerved her. It meant something really, really bad.
As the vixen continued looking at the phone as it malfunctioned before her eyes, Emireth’s chest tightened, and her cheeks strained trying to hold the air inside. The elf waved her hands frantically for attention. A few bubbles slipped from her lips along with a few from her nose. Drop the damn phone foxy, she yelled in her mind. We’ve got to go!
The iPhone’s screen went black.
