"il potere del denaro"---is that correct? Money and power. Money and fame. So many of Shakespeare's great characters are destroyed by power and money. A number of your images could be illustrations of Dante's Inferno. This is brilliant. This woman seems pained and in mourning: She looks down, into herself, ashamed of who she sees. And she wants to hide behind her shoulder. But she can't. Half her body is covered in gold---a kind of sickly 'green' gold, like a jaundiced gold. And your background is a garish gold-painted wall, which sinks into darkness (in the lower half of the image). And the bottom of the image?
Brilliant! A high 'stool' of coins, brilliantly rendered. And skulls. Like a ruins (rovine). An aftermath of a disaster. You used American currency---$20 bills. And some skeletal limbs too. And the woman wears some expensive jewelry (pearl, I think), which is beautiful---but it doesn't help her: She's sunken in the thick patina, the thick "paint" of money. The woman is rendered very expressively, too: Even in your most 'dark' visions (emotionally dark), you still create beauty, because your visual sense is so rich. A brilliant image, and a brilliant evocation of your theme.
Giuliano, I've been commenting in your gallery for over 2 hours. And I'm sad, because I want to do more, but I must leave now. I hope to get back here before I leave RR, again, for another several weeks. I will try. But I see everything you post, and if I had enough time, I'd write a comment on every piece. Perhaps it's not so much money in and of itself which kills, but the greed for material wealth.
Very clever render here. I really wonder how you achieve the effect of gold paint covering different areas of the female figure!
