Description
this is the vista from the East entrance to Gila National Forest. overlooking the valley are two towns visible as well as a lake. the first town is San Lorenzo and the second is Kingston. both were over night silver towns and right after the value of silver crashed both crashed also. the lake is Elephant Butte Reservoir almost to the top center. out of the mountains is the Rio Grande Valley. on a clear day one can see the western side of Texas north of El Paso

Just love this landscape -- the sense of vastness, the green hills stretching on forever and ever...
Viewing this almost makes me hate myself for not being a bird or a hang glider. I'd love to soar through the air over this endless expanse of green. :)
