after 7 years i'm finally getting around in adding some info on this page. never really thought about doing it. i have been a member here since July 15th 2006, and have learned alot from fellow artists. i would have about 1300 images or so posted but have deleated many of my first pieces. and still consider myself a developing artist at this wonderful site. i'm 56 years old this year "2013" and was born in North Dakota. i have lived in Colorado since 1967 and enjoy this place alot. my stepfather was in the air force and we lived in Bermuda after North Dakota for a few years before coming here where he got stationed.. and so much enjoy many of the finest artist in the world who post here.. love you all and your amazing friendships we share.. lol Steve

Dear Steve It's really shaking, if one of our beloved four legged friends leave us, and really I know what it feels like! As you already know, I lost my dear Felix this summer. He was not granted to reach a decent age (He had to be put down with just 10 Years and 2 Months). I see your amazing beautiful Dixie did not get much older either. In western civilizations where there is enough food and medical care it is not seldom that Cats can reach 18 Years plus. So 10 years is just sightly above mid age. I really hope we all will see our beloved pets once again (That's why I said "see ya later" and not "good bye", when I hat to let go of Felix). Though it still hurts quite a lot - I know. I'm very sad for your loss and my prayers go out to you. Be blessed

I wanted to comment on this first, even though other things happened to you afterwards. I know that pets are like our children, or siblings. In a miraculous way, they're like loving parents too, because they somehow look out for us. I knew, when you lost Dixie, that you were already going through very hard times with work, and I had to assume that Dixie's illness and loss made it much harder. (I've seen all your uploads, and if I hadn't been so busy, I'd have commented on this right away.)
The pics show Dixie glowing and ever-alive, which is such a great way to remember her. And I'm sorry she had multiple issues, including blindness. (When a pet loses its sight, it's so hard to watch.) Many sympathies, Steve, and I know you've had a number of losses over the last years...you mentioned some in my gallery (among them Mina and Lars). (Both very special people who I never got to know well, but I could tell that you had wonderful connections with them both.) I wish you healing and light, and hope that their light carries you through. I was very sad to read this, a few weeks ago. And I love seeing the caring comments you got, in its wake...

Very belated, but also very deep condolences to you, Steve. I never had a pet, the closest I had was playing with my mother's friend's cat when I was eleven. Some thirty years removed perhaps, but maybe Dixie and Boscow are at play together somewhere beyond the rainbow bridge. May solace be with you in these days, my friend.
