Sanctuary With a brush from His diversified palette the master painter silently darkens fading twilight to illuminate the stars with the moon basking in glorious delight The night hides my flaws and imperfections No longer are my scars exposed nor vulnerable Serene calmness of the night enables me to drift peacefully - reflecting upon sentimental thoughts My soul is free to roam nonchalantly nocturnally All my struggles disappear with my shadow This is my sanctuary - a place to escape from reality nothing enchanting, this is my bed - I'm asleep!
