Description

These flowers were behind my friends house. He has a whole bunch of them. But you have to be careful in the area as there are a lot of little fire ants that stings a painful bite. Aloha and thank you for viewing...

I've never seen such a plant, or flower, and have to say that's it's looking fantastic, and in a way also a bit unreal, as if it's made of a kind of plastic material. I wonder if it has a smell. Thank you very much for sharing this beautiful photo-series, Sharky.

We also grow them here in Australia, called 'Zingiber officinale' and they are natives to tropical climates... and flower of the beehive ginger come in many colours and sizes - magnificent looking specimen Errol, and thanks for asking about my welfare and I do hope you are also well and take care, my friend.
