Description

"Early winter" in my virtual plantation. I've tried to depict a thin layer of frost and snow. In the shaded backgound the frost will prevail on such cold days. Bryce 5, minor corrections to colour etc. in Photoshop. I'm not too happy about the trees - carrying leaves they looked OK, without them they look sort of stalky and pine-like. Well - I don't want to re-edit 70 "chestnuts". I've tried to alter them all at once by selecting them, but Bryce will only let me change the texture, not the overall appearance. So this is how they'll be ;o) Comments welcome - thanks for viewing.

Trees are not so easy in Bryce but that's a great composition. Light and atmophere perfect.

wow excellent atmosphere here, perfect shadows color; the snow is very good. Without leaves, trees are not very realistic in bryce, even with random set to max...

Your lighting is perfect. I get a sense of a cold winter day. Well done!

Looks great. The tracks in the road are especially delightful.

Thanks for your comments. Nice to hear that I'm not the only one who gets frustrated trying to tweak Bryce trees ;o) I think I've come up with a work-around for the lack of " really small branches" on the Bryce trees - you try it out too: I'll draw an image of some small branches or something, and use them for leaves, the same way as you'll use a scanned leaf. I think that just MAY do the trick ;O)

The trees are difficult in bryce, sometimes you got nice ones but sometimes ,they donn't look good. Great work but since it's a winter image i'm saying Cool Job.
