Description
The work to replace our 100 year old gas mains continues apace. This is the corner outside my house.
The men doing the work are very skilled and it is fascinating to watch them.

GAS! Who farted? I can smell it all the way over here!
Bad puns aside, this is what it looks like in my town, where both water, electric, Internet and central heating pipes are being replaced after nearly 40 years under the soil. Now concrete U-shaped roofs are being placed over the new pipes. Black and blue hose for drinking water, yellow for Internet optical cables and black electric cables (we don't have gas here). I can just feel your enjoyment seeing this! Some more good photos in the offing? :-)

really vivid hues---in the 'main' (that's one bright yellow!) and in the guard modules. I don't know what they're called---the fence made of bright green plastic. Striking, given the grays and browns all around it. And that yellow main---on flickr---is an eye popper! That's one arresting bunch of tubing!
