Description
Sympetrum striolatum on the lounger
They were still mating on 11 October! I was watching a pair in the hopes of a pic when suddenly the female vanished. I lifted a lily leaf to see if she had drowned and found her wings sticking out of a frog mouth...sadly it was off before I got a photo!

Great macro ! Yes I saw it too, frogs and even birds are catching them (bad beasts...

They do make me chuckle, they look as though they have helmets on. Nasty frog.

Obviously a frog who is no fan of romance. I see a pattern on this one's eye that reminds me of a portion of a circuit board thus strengthening my theory that these are space invaders from another planet. Other than that, a brilliant capture.
