Description
Started out with a photo of autumn foliage, played around with filters & layers, added the head of a garden statue, played around some more & this was the result...

I love it when you play. The results are invariably to my taste! :) I like the way you used color/saturation to create a frame, giving this the feeling of a formal portrait. Beautiful piece!

this may be a 2 parter, because I may need to leave in the middle of my commenting; but I'll return, in that case, to do a representative sample of all you've posted since I last was on RR. I start with this because it's a buddha, and because your manipulations have always been fresh, exciting, vital and opulent. I think the early Buddhists would have approved of this, because deep in the eastern mindset is a view of the universe as a massive colorful pageant, a huge cosmic play...and that's what you created here. I can't completely find the foliage, except in the colors themselves; but that's because you've turned it all into a phatasmagorical tile display, and your edge work has created countless colonies and microorganisms. The buddha fits right into it. I assume it's a buddha (rather than one of the corollary figures, like bodhisattvas). In any case, it looks Indian and Chinese, because it has Chinese treatment of the eyes, but very Indian nose and lips. Whatever it is, it's beautiful in this piece, with a bowed head as if it's dreaming all this. You 'tiled' it, which makes it like a big temple display. Beautiful work. With Tara, when you play, you play. Beautiful.
