This photo was taken on the island of Nassau at the botanical gardens - summer 2005. The photographer in this case is the flamingo trainer at the gardens using my camera.

My vocation currently is ASIC design. I design logic circuits that end up in chips. Graphics of all sorts are a hobby that take me away from the tedium of logic. As of late I have taken a slight detour into photography and astrophotography.

Are ya sure you did'nt do it the other way?.......just kidding, great job. I really enjoy photo editing, especially really old black and white images.
I like to see peoples reactions when they see what I have done to a photo they loved and thought was ruined forever.
My son found some old negatives from the 60's on a derelict factory floor, which I restored. If I can find the end results I will post them here, it was a long time ago when I did them.

Thanks, Same here for the enjoyment. I use PS Elements and Corel Photopaint, noise reduction software and commercial sharpener plug ins. I have found that the most important tool is the scanner and its light adjustment tools. Most of the rest is mechanical, but I do enjoy it. I particularly like to remove scratches.
