Description
Captured way back on 4/18/07, early morning, about half a mile from home.
Much of the pretty flora in my area has disappeared or been dug up since our drastic drought began around 2010, so it was fortunate that I recorded them when I did.

I know I'm skipping, but I'm trying to get a swath of earlier pieces...Beautiful unfurling here, and light and dark, and deep reds, and the feeling that this exploded into the frame the second before you took the shot, and then you caught it. It fills the image---you cropped it so it would. A beautiful capture of a lush bloom. I'm sorry all Angelinos are sans flowers now, or at least more than you've ever been. That drought is devastating.
