On Halloween night, Rowena and Helga stood waiting for the rest of their lot to show up for the annual festivities. "It's awful dark out here, even with the lamp and pumpkin lit up, " Rowena sighed. "It is," said Helga. "Wait, I've been practicing an illuminating spell. Let's see if I can conjure it up so we can have a bit more light," Helga said. Helga concentrated and soon a bright light danced from her fingers. "I did it!" She shouted happily. "Brilliant! Now we can see a bit better!" said Rowena, happily. "That's great...but does anyone see that spider on the pumpkin", thought Sammy the cat. "Seriously...that's a big spider. Would someone please, please look down at the pumpkin?" But all that came out of Sammy was a loud, "Meow!" "Aww Sammy, you're so cute," the girls cried together. "I really wish I could talk", Sammy thought, eyeing the spider warily. ******* I've got a lot of Halloween content, so I hope you'll forgive me doing another Halloween themed piece!
