So good to see you post again. Since I use you as book recommender I really missed you. I had to flounder on my own and went on a buying spree and now have over a 50 book backlog in my ipad, so I have been resisting all the ads Amazon and Apple send me. I am amazed at the effect you got with DAZ. I try for reality and have not idea how you got that effect. I am new to DAZ so maybe there is a setting. In Poser which I know a lot better I might be able to match using the toon render, or do something in Photoshop. I like the little dragon you slipped in there. Dumb me would have had a huge dragon overlay at maybe 10% transparency. Also for some reason and I do not know if it would be appropriate I would have made the bad guys eyes glow in Photoshop. Having the bad guy on the cover of the first book is a little different. I hop you post a little more often....of course that would mean you had more work....smile

Thanks for so many compliments. :D I have several more covers in the works, so keep a look-out. A lot of my work lately has been non-visual, like interior text layouts, editing, or website creation. But my love is in the cover art.

Great piece of book illustration! No one ever really appreciates the amount of work that goes into this sort of work!

I seriously thought at first this was a watercolor done by hand. Didn't know Daz Studio allows you to produce renders like this! Or did you render it first and then go over the rendered image using Photoshop or something? :)
Great composition overall. The figure in the foreground looks kind of androgynous, though. If not for his facial hair, I might have though he's a she!
AidanaWillowRaven
You are right. The render is first done in Daz then postworked in photoshop to look painted.
And he's supposed to look androgynous. He's an incubus demon. That's also how the author described him. :D
