Description

This girl is broken down and hard up at dusk on a lonely country road. She’s starin’ up the road and praying to God she sees head lights. It can’t get much worse, especially, with the sun going down. And, to beat it all, it appears that the Overland Stage Co. has staged a walk out. So. She won’t be hitchin’ a ride with them, any time soon. If worse does come to worse, maybe one of these lazy steads will give her a lift into town, bareback! I don’t know about her, but I’ve already spied some headlights. Two pair, as a matter of fact. And, one set has definitely left their high beams on ! ! ! So . . . . . . rock me mama ! ! ! Looks best at full size. Thanks for looking . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

This is a live version of Wagon Wheel as it was performed on Austin City Limits by the group that wrote and originally released it in 2006, Old Crow Medicine Show. This video is actually about 3 years old. The original one can be found on YouTube, too. This is the way this song was meant to be sung and played. It is not meant to be a Hootie and the Blowfish song. I bet Darius couldn’t find Jonson City, TN even if his life depended on it! Go to YouTube and check out some more of Old Crow’s videos. If you are not already a fan, I think you might become one. Better yet, if you get a chance to catch them live, it is an experience that you won’t soon forget. Thanks again for looking !!!
