Crossing to stage right we find Nick aka “Buddy” at the stage manager’s position. The stage manager is responsible for running everything backstage for rehearsals and performances. He coordinates the activities of the backstage crew, although this crew has been working together so long they all seem to know what needs to be done without being reminded. He wears a headset to communicate with Susan at the lights panel over on stage left. A copy of the script can be found on his work table. He has annotated it with lighting cues and other actions backstage supporting what happens on stage. Nick is an expat American who has lived in London for years. Most people backstage believe he is gay, but he doesn’t make a big thing of it so no one really cares. Nobody knows what he does for a living and he doesn’t talk about it. Maybe he has an inheritance. Nick the character is one of the “Good Ol’ Boys” by the late StudioArtVartanian along with his hair. Clothing outfit is Sylin from DAZ. Thanks for looking.
