Description

when one could leave your door open? I do not as I have always kept my doors locked. locks only keep out "honest" people and slow down a would be thief my dear mother would leave the doors open with only a screen door latched. we had a large Hound dog and my mother left 5# of butter on the table. well the dog broke through the door and ate 5 pounds of butter. soon the dog was gone and then she always locked the doors when we were gone my indirect lighting

That's the way we lived the first 17 years of my life. I still can't get use to locking the doors in the daytime tho.

Awesome scene to illustrate your text and thoughts! Oh God. So many thoughts come to mind. My parents' house was daylight burglarized when I was a kid and my warehouse has either been broken into or attempted B&E dozens and dozens and dozens of times over the years. Alarms and stuff, ADT, has since been installed. But they still do damage. And oh God. That poor dog. We had a big lab when I was little and he got hold of a ham one time. LOL.
There was only a bone left when we got home.

I do remember those days until our family moved to the city while I was still in grade school.

Since then have moved back to a rural area and---- presently lock the doors while out or at home day and night.

what a wholly pure and nostalgic vision, with wonderful detail, and absolutely no 'showing off'---that is, there's no "broadcasting" of the 'oldness' of the piece: It just is what it is, without pretense. I love the play of wooden slats against the other forms. And the barrels, and those boarded doors. And the rocks beneath the walking plank. And a big old green truck, with lots of reflections in its chrome. Reminds me of the paintings of Hopper and Wyeth, open and quiet and introspective. As for not locking doors, omg, if you did that in Chicago? Fuggeddabbouddit. Days long gone. Very sensitive render.

I do remember a time when you could leave your doors unlocked, and your car on the street unlocked. Now you can't even put yard decorations out without chaining them to a tree. Sad..

Cool render, Richard!

Actually where I am people sometimes leave phones and bags and stuff on a table in public eating place. No one takes it. Pretty amazing.
