A Dialogue on Depression
From bleak slumber you struggle
Up the tortured stairway each day
Towards the light of the Sun
To feel it’s warmth on your face.
To breathe the joys of life.
To hear the birds singing sweetly..
And the sound of your own voice again.
The world is alive though brief and fleeting
Take my hand and hold it firmly
I will never give up
I will never let go…
