You, sir, are witnessing a rare event: I'm commenting on several images in a row. Not earth shattering, I admit, but not too common. (How long this will last, none of us know, but I'm forging ahead. (The crowd is tense...) (I watched too much baseball of late...) Contrasts of bright golds and yellows and whites, against those many types of dark blue: stunning. They're opposite hues on the color wheel, thus perfect contrasts; and it makes the piece alive. But also, you got a lot of different textures on the wood; in zoom we can see a lot going on in there. And the vertical composition makes it feel like an art piece in a museum---pretty amazing considering this lays flat in real life. Another 'in medias res' piece from you that sings. (How do you keep up the consistency? You have strings of pieces like this, there's no flagging energy in sight...)
