A big leaf soup---the hues are beautiful, and the almost plastic-y surface of the water makes it look like a big opulent sculpture, or even decoupage. I have to say, only certain photographers can go 'in medias res'---just jump into a scene with no 'reference' points (sky, ground, etc), and create a whole and luminous piece. This glows. Beautiful, with real separation of colors, light, reflectivity and shadow.

And, only for lack of time, let me say here that your next post---the filtered version---has opened it up to x-rays and mri's, and resulted in lots of subtle energy lines, colony lines, and grain. It's become more of an abstract, 2 dimensional, and something to be put on a wall and studied. Fine manipulation. And zoom's a must, as it is with all your work.
