You might spot me at Kirra Beach, the South-Eastern end of the Gold Coast, Australia, if you like beach walking like myself... but there is more ! My son Jeff (*jif3d*, here at Rendo, it helps to advertise, ooops)... he took this pic of me in 2000, then manipulated it in photo-shop and it's still one of my favourites. Just very briefly about my past... *born in East Prussia; *grew up in Berlin, West Germany; *migrated to "OZ" in 1960, (not the Wizard of Oz) but...AUSTRALIA ! I guess I was more into '2D' since early childhood, and thinking that my son Jeff may have inherited some of my artistic skills, because he translated them into '3D'. I am hooked on photography, since I discovered cameras... that's it in a nutshell. BTW - one of my fav.quotes.... ** I cannot give you the formula for success, but I can give you the formula for failure - which is trying to please everybody !** that's a wrap... Cheers Brigitte.

Great capture!!!

Just like a scene from Frank Herbert's 'Dune' and the total saturation of the drug 'spice', which turns the whites of your eye's blue, actually I'm surprised there isn't a giant spice worm lurking near-by...well, there probably is one, but it's still under the shifting sands...EEK !
Super work postwork and perfect composition, how it makes your eye get drawn upward towards the pole...cool BB
~Cheers~

How I love your "Sandy toes & Salty kisses". I can imagine a lot of warm joy, by admiring your fantastic picture, BB-chen! The pattern as contrasting colours are amazing, and it gives me thoughts of a lazy Zebra, stretched out on this coast of gold. Bravo again for this wonderful, lively, and lovely picture, dear friend; and enjoy your summer there with you, we here are dealing with the cold, unfortunately nothing within is gold

oooh, terrific shot of dunes, with wonderful blue shadows and 'patina', and a long sweeping feel. Zebra stripes---you caught 'dunes' perfectly. I agree with Jeff about how we're led back to that pole. (And what's a "spice worm"? Ok, I looked it up, and it took me to "sand worm". That I've heard of!) A really fine shot, Brigitte; your eye is alive as ever. Those blues are wonderful on those gentle dunes.
(Ok, bad pun alert: The present conductor of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra is Riccardo Muti. When he's down, some of us call it "The Muti Blues". Or you could say that when he wears a lotta navy, or denim. See, not a lot to do with this pun, so I'll leave your title in peace. Great shot, Brigitte!)

Some great patterns here. I like how the shadow accentuates the gentle curve of the dune.

Wow looks like a beautiful area to take a stroll.
The sand dunes do indeed look like a lot like Zebra stripes surrounded by the beautiful blue water.
Love the name of the ole shack, it really fits with the area.
Thanks for sharing your awesome Summer day, as we struggle to hang on to ours.
Wonderful camera work and presentation Brigitte.
