Description

I try not to inject politics into my photographic posts here, but I'm pretty stunned, outraged, sad, depressed, bummed out, disappointed, etc. about who we just elected as our president. I hold out a slim hope that the responsibility of the office will cause the man-child to self-reflect & mature somewhat. That may be ridiculously optimistic, but the alternative is too nightmarish to contemplate. But enough of that. Taken on a walk in the hills above Jacksonville today. This burl, high up on a madrone tree, seems to have burst through the bark in dramatic fashion...
