Anglais (traduction automatique) Hello, and thank you for coming to visit me!
I live in the south of France, in the Tarn. I have always been passionate about images, especially photography (ah, black and white film ...).
For a few years, I created images with 3D software: Poser of course (Poser4 at the start ...), Cinema4D, Vue. You can see some of these images at the start of my gallery on Renderosity.
Then, with age and fatigue helping, I returned to my first graphic love: photography.
I especially like to show what is not always considered interesting: insects, animals that we meet without seeing them, and if possible to make a portrait of them that we enjoy seeing.
I also really like the architecture, especially religious, that I discover during my rare travels
My partner Danielle is also present on Renderosity, under the pseudo of Leije

I do not know if this roof is in slates (rather fine stones) or "lauzes" (another kind of stones, thicker). But in any case, there are stones!

It is in such great condition! I wonder if much restoration was needed. Great catch!
Jean_C
Indeed, there was need of restorations ... During the French Revolution, parts of the buildings were used as a farm ... The last restoration was done in the 20th century!

Belle prise !

That must have taken some time to build, some of those blocks look heavy. Was the stone quarried locally or carted in?

Sorry, but I don't know the answer...

With this image, I am drawn into more than I can express... of the architecture, designs, history of the people who had a vision which became reality... and I am truly astounded that these structures have been preserved for our enjoyment and appreciation.
