Description
I have always loved German Shepherd dogs, the one's I have known have been such beautiful dogs inside and out. I remember when I used to work at the Veterinary clinic, a client that I became friends with would bring her GSD to see my little dogs. Yes my little dogs would accompany me to work every day and had their own bed in the reception of the Veterinary surgery. What I found so endearing about the GSD is that she would get down on the ground to the level of my small dogs in order to play with them, and play they did too, mouthing and having fun with each other.
I have made a new friend recently who has a GSD as an assistant dog and he helps her as she is wheelchair bound with chronic painful illness, he is always by her side. Recently my friend was involved in a nasty accident as a vehicle ploughed into her while she was in her wheelchair, it has made her even more disabled, but her dog has taught himself new skills in helping her undress and dress. He watched as she struggled to get her clothes and socks off, and without prompting he pulled on her clothes and socks, thereby undressing her so she need not struggle any more, he is amazing! ...
I found this painting in my files showing how warm hearted a GSD can be, hope you like it my friends.

you captured the essence of the breed perfectly. seems all breeds has good attributes while life experiences for them turns them into vicious dogs. My Eve is part Shepherd and she is very gentle. she does not show her intelligence because of Bodie's dominance. both are jealous of each other but yet play all day long when I am inside

Very sad to hear your friend had to undergo such a horrible accident on top of her pre-existing struggles. Sounds like her GSD is on top his duties which will be most helpful for her !

Sis, first of all I was very touched and moved to hear the story about your friend and her dog.
