Oooh, the many flat areas, with long rich strokes...and the beautiful oranges and deep blues in the water...and the deep light-blue trim on the boat...and the green above...and the deep red-brown pillars on the pier...and then---on a long open plankway---that flute! With that characteristic red interior: It's just great, sitting there. A great addition. It 'makes' the painting...A grand vision, and a loving portrait of the flute. More wonderful work from you, Jock.
