a project still in motion... I would like to hand stain all of this heart pine, recovered from an abandoned country house... maybe one day, on a ladder 18 feet in the mood :) nov23 (11).JPG

Holy WOW! What a fantastic job! That wood looks so rich and warm - a really beautiful carpentry masterwork! And from an old farmhouse.... Amazing... My hat is off to you, Kenn!

Thx for viewing Rod, and glad that I can share a bit of my efforts in return for all that you do. The original boards are 6"X3/4" tongue and groove heart pine from the ceiling of an abandoned farm house, sanded and cleaned from their original stained state... back years ago, with our surplus of pine, it was the cheapest and strongest way to go for sub floors and ceilings. Then came the era of plywood and drywall, with a current trend of OSB (Oriented Strand Board) replacing plywood and sheathing covered with vinyl siding replacing lap siding.

As a youngster, I helped Dad build several houses, and was fortunate enough to retain enough of his teachings to earn a living during transition from the corporate world to my present state ... whatever that is :)
