Dee, I'm only commenting on a few pieces per gallery, this week (this is my first return in weeks): I'll be back for more after the 1st. But I see everything as it goes up, and believe me, choosing a few isn't easy in your gallery. You have such a fine sense of humor and play, along with your seasoned visual sense, composition, sense of light and color, and your understanding of humans in everyday situations...there's so much to choose from. I loved this image because Santa looks like a Renaissance King riding a scooter! I love his presence---like King Henry VIIIth, or some similar king who "chews up the scenery," as they say in the theater. But he's humbled by this little scooter, here; a humbled giant. And the two children to either side are both great---with the boy giving a 'thumbs up', and the girl blushing at the butterfly. And I love your color-schemes too; and the big rustic door behind, and all that texture on the wall. I know you come from photography, but your graphic sense is exquisite, as is your sense of visual humor. I come from painting and drawing (drafting too---I started, in art, doing architectural drawing...it's a long story), so when I mess with 3D, it's impossible for me. That's why my Poser pieces (which I posted some weeks ago) weren't anything to celebrate. I just don't know what to do with 3D parameters. (And I tried Blender, and decided 6 years in prison would be easier.) But you take to it with real panache. And it's such a delight that you do the images you do, playful and delightful, and filled with childlike joy. A wonderful piece all around.
