Description
This is a painstaking CGI recreation of an artwork I created as a teenager for one of my first bands (to keep the story simple). Although the piece was well-regarded by my circle of peers, the more I looked at it, the more I saw the myriad of flaws within it. So, I decided to George Lucas it by trying to improve it with modern tech. My wife is already saying she prefers the original, lol. (I feel your pain George!)
Like usual, I also censored this piece for renderosity.

Very interesting design work. I have also taken images from my past and reproduced them in the techniques and technology of the day. Surprises me every time with a very different mood and look. I attribute it to maturity and bad eye sight (LOL).

Indeed. I look at the original piece and see an undisciplined teen's passion. Now that I have more matured discipline, I'm re-inspired by the original passion I had for art in my youth.
