Computer geek extarodinaire, I love to tinker with gadgets and tech items to get them to do what I want. I'm either logically artistic or artisically logical. I'm also rude, crude, semi-barbaric, socially unacceptable, and totally psychotic. On the bright side - I am potentially harmless. I'm currently trying to write some short stories about the fae as well as a novel on those same fae as well as two other novels. The programs I have for photo and image editing are: Photoimpact from Ulead, Adobe Photoshop 7 and Corel Paint Shop Pro 2X. Recently I've added DAZ Studios as well as Terragen, Blender and Google Sketch to my list of programs crowding my hard-drive. All this and much more on an old Pentium III 450 with 396 Megs of memory and operating Windows XP. It does get interesting at time.As of December 26, 2008, I have added Vue 7 Pioneer to my list of reason of why I'm going insane.
As of January 2010 I upgraded to a new HP 2 dual core processor with 6 gigs onboard mem with 4 gig powerboost and 2.07 terabytes of Hard drivesMy email is faemike55@gmail.com

Parking garages 'can' be interesting vantage points because the do in some way frame parts of reality.

This is a great nightime shot, Mike. No cars parked around.

Mike you are gonna have to get out more!!
Radar_rad-dude
Well, sometimes its nice to 'park' your brain for awhile. LOL! Nice photo, Mike!

The oil spots could be a new way to do Rorschach testing. I don't think I've ever seen one that empty. Nice job with this!

My God in Heaven. Nothing good ever happens in a parking garage at night. What's really happening here? LOL. I'm kiddin'. Cool idea, buddy! Hey? I just learned something amazing too. History Channel has on a Pearl Harbor documentary. I never knew that FDR was driven to his address the next day in a bullet proof car that had been confiscated by The Treasury from Al Capone. I never heard that before. I thought I'd seen every documentary ever made on it.

very good idea for a subject. I often walk on top of a shopping center garage and sometimes take pictures of US75 below

Well, first off.... color between the lines.....
super image!!

An interesting viewpoint here, Mike - and a very cool night shot! This actually "un-stalled" a few of my remaining brain cells, and gave me an idea..... Stay tuned...

A feeling of strangeness... nice capture, Mike!

Stalled? Funny you! The perspective here is very interesting, as it frames the outside and at the same time shows the reality inside as well. The eye is drawn to the bright light to the right. So much more can be said about this but you'll have a headache from reading all these comments! Thanks for the car stalls! Keep up the good work! :-)

Ah, that place where we leave our treasured steed for the enjoyment of others to scratch and damage.

I personally love photo's, they can take your imagination places...ok, sometimes it's places full of
"SQUEEEE!!!"
"OMG! It ate Larry, RUN!!"
But places none the less!
Desgar
It's well lit, that's for sure. Not something I expect from a typical indoor park lot (in Chicago at any rate).

Smiles: What a difference with the lights on.
Thanks for sharing Mike.

See now, I think this is terrific. It's nothing like a "stalled for ideas" shot. You really got an angle here, and the drama of the enclosed parking area---you're like in a cavern, in there---and the outside with those lights (and from a higher floor), and the street sign and streetlights at eye level for a change is just great. I almost came out of my absence from RR and commented on this, I mean the day it went up. I wanted to say, "dude, this ain't no 'stalled for ideas' shot"! It gave me ideas, if I ever go back to the camera. Love the interior light compared to the outdoor light. Terrific. I reeeeeealllllly like this. (could you tell???)
Oh! Here...I worked on this:
Hii ni swahili yangu tu
(It means "this is my only Swahili". Clever, huh? You're the only person in my 67+ years who's given me a Swahili Christmas greeting. Has anyone else noticed? Or do they think you had too much eggnog? Or maybe your eye-work wasn't as good as everyone thought...At first I thought you were writing backwards, but my online translators told me, "no way..." Kazi nzuri, dude! (Couldn't translate "dude"...)
