I love Christmas lights if they don't run or flash etc, which really upsets me.

Wonderful play with the lights Andrea.
Our pre-lit tree only has little white lights and half of them flicker once in awhile.
We have decorated it with unbreakable baubles so the little cat can't hurt herself.
The tree is all hers, to climb, pull off the decorations and use them as hockey pucks till one of us puts it back on the tree.
All because Jim thought she should enjoy Christmas too.
She is not spoiled just loved..
The older cats (Sassy and Bear when she was with us ) do not get involved in Mia's fun at all.
