Description

These succulent I put during summer usually in the garden, and in the fall I take it inside. To my great surprise, last year I suddenly saw these orange flowers. This year, I have a bunch of these flowers in the plant. I made cuttings a few months ago, and yes, even this was immediately with flowers, after I put them in a pot. Crazy enough, I gave several large specimens of this plant to others, but no one gets these flowers. btw, this is a macro shot. For whom are interested, here some info about the Senecio Fulgens: Origin and Habitat: Senecio fulgens (Kleinia fulgens) is endemic to KwaZulu-Natal, Republic of South Africa, Mozambique and Zimbabwe. Habitat and ecology: This species grows in valley on cliff ledges and cracks. On the cliffs of its natural habitat the shiny blue-grey leaves and stems tend to stand out and again the plants can be seen from a fair way away. The fleshy stems tend to grow out over the cliff and hang down, then grow back up towards the light. The Autumn flowering time from May through to June that will stretch to July as you move further inland is the most obvious time to find this species on the cliffs. The bright red flowers attract many butterflies and other insects that pollinate them. The plant has a creeping, tuberous rootstock and in habitat the aerial parts are often browsed by animals. Thank you very much for your look.
