Description

Part 20 - The master approached the boys, placing a hand on each of their heads. Suddenly, they could feel its presence in their minds... " We are well aware of humans as we often visit the surface to abduct a few to replenish out food stocks". Both boys sent back a thought. "Why have we never seen you?" The master replied, " These tunnels extend to every corner of this world, and the inhabitants come in many different forms depending on the location. You may have heard the terms 'Werewolf, Yeti or Bigfoot', well, they are all part of our family. In recent times there has been a weakening in the surface which has caused a number of what you humans call 'Sink Holes'. Until today there was no access to the surface from this sector, but when you accidentally broke into our world you provided us with a new feeding ground"

Well, this is an interesting turn in your story. Sounds quite a bit "The Inner Earth World". Do you know the novel "The coming race" by Edward Bulwer-Lytton? I once translated it into German
