Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Very nice capture.

I am with you. I would have walked in anyway. I do not believe them about having L series Canon lens fro 30-70% off unless they are closing. I would like to go in BH and Adorama in NYC

I understand the pull you speak of here; I've had that as well. (In music too, and painting, etc. Stores that sell stuff in those areas---even the web.) The shot is full of dark and light. And the feeling of seeing a store like this in the middle of a night-drenched street. Its vivid and intrusive---as bright stores are on a night street---and yes, inviting. Esp with "SALE" all over the place. I love the lights on top, and all that darkness surrounding. I have to move to other galleries, Marilyn (I did 6 in yours, whereas I'm doing mainly 2 or 3 in everyone else's), so let me use this moment to wish you a great New Year, and i hope your christmas was wonderful too. And that Marcos is doing fine, and the two of you are doing fine together. And wishes for your family too. Happy New Year, and I'll be back for more soon...
