I love the red/orange tones, I love how the woman is dressed in deep reds. I love her face looking upwards, and her hand opened as if looking for or welcoming something. It has an ancient near-east feeling. (It feels like Ancient Egypt.) The whole thing feels like the moment before something luminous happens, the night before the dawn, the moment before the revelation. So it's kind of a precursor to your Christmas image. Beautifully done; and your sense of color and gesture is as vivid and expressive as ever. (As is your architectural detail.) I hope this holiday season is good to you, Steve---after the year you had, I hope you're getting long-deserved rest and inner peace, and basking in, and feeling your heartbeat again.
