Well I tried a Superfly test in Poser on a render I had done before and saved, but for some reason the hair color got lost in the save. Anyway first thing Poser 11 Pro would not do a GPU render. I spoke to Smith Micro and was informed I would have to go back to the first driver for this card as they had a problem with the Pascal chip but were working with nVidia to resolve. I back dated the driver and the program would do a GPU render. The above render was a Superfly high quality with other goodies checked off and render took 1 hour to complete, so it looks like I will be going back to Poser. I am sure that at some point in time DAZ will get a Pascal chip nVidia cards and work out the kinks in their program. At least Poser is working on getting their program current with the latest cards.

this is still a cool render, even her hair looks neat. computers, we all seem to have a love/hate relationship with them.

It has been so long since I last visited. I am loving visiting and seeing your fine art again. Be wlll, be happy. P11 should be called PIA. Yet I will tell you that with some tinkering it can turn out good art. It is just not a well thought out roll out.

LOL, so Daz may not have a PBR renderer for D/S 5.0, and Poser does. The soap opera continues.

Is a nice and clear render. I'm starting to do Daz learning lighting first. Did you get your pc back?

This looks really good, Rick!
It's kind of odd..... I put Poser Pro 11 on the same machine that runs PP 2014 really well. PP 11 won't run worth a crap on it. It crashes constantly, so I just use 2014. I might try putting 11 on this machine (with the GTX 1070) and see what happens.
Happy New Year to you, buddy!

If you use the 1070 one make sure you contact Smith Micro. I was informed by them they have a problem with the Pascal chip the newer video cars run. I had to install the original driver made for the card for card to get it to work. The good new they say they are currently working with nVidia for the fix and the next driver should include the fix. When I was trying out cards and had 2 1080's in the machine I bet Poser 11 renders would have been so fast. The manufacturer at the time told me that the computer bench marks were ungodly fast, but would not work with DAZ. It was then that nVidia told me none of there current GTX cards would work with Iray which is a nVidia program. I think nVidia made a decision to make their GTX card solely for gaming as the market is so much bigger.
