Description

You may have seen (quite a while ago!) previous posts of me talking about the animated short which I did the animation for  - "Trick or Treat".  Well after being shown at film festivals in many countries across the world, I just found out that the full video can now be seen for the first time publicly on the internet!  I am so excited that you can see the full thing for the first time - all animated and rendered in Carrara (natively, not with Octane or anything else).  You can see it here: http://www.trickortreatshort.com/ (About a third of the way down the page) It is hopefully a good example of classic animation styling.  Clearly done in 3D, but there is no attempt to make the characters realistic, in fact quite the opposite, they are clearly more cartoony.  It is the animation which (I hope) draws you into the story and the characters.  I'd love to hear what you all think! Of course you can learn more about animating in Carrara from my recent video tutorial course: http://www.daz3d.com/animation-in-carrara-video-tutorials Please watch the animation before commenting - the above image is really just a placeholder to point to the animation (it was one of the posters used for the film). Thanks for viewing! Phil

Well done, Phil! That's quite a project, how long did it take you?

The whole thing took around six months, including all the character designs, set designs and all the animation. Basically everything that appears on the screen I had to design, animate, light and render. And all done in Carrara!
