Description

I don't know where or when: I just found them. The lower one is in my gallery, but without the flower. (That's a helluva a flower, isn't it? The details are staggering...) And---in the top group? See the guy in the bottom-center? (Yes, that's a guy! Don't get sarcastic!) I knew him. He looked just like that. I realize my figure drawing background isn't too apparent, but I actually did it way back. I drew animals and insects too. (Note to budding artists: Insects don't pose well. But they luuuuuuuv old Jerry Lewis films, so bring lots of DVD's, and you should be fine...) On a serious note: Some of you suggested flu shots to me: I would've gotten them, but I was wrapped up in my sister's illness (cancer), and I just plain forgot. Maybe I'll get them now. And I do have bad history with drugs: I went into shock from antibiotics years back, and they had to stop an operation just as they were about to cut. "You're breaking out all over," they said. So they rolled me back to my room. (Boy ya know, just when you're about to have a good time...) Finally, on my sister: Thank you so much for your concern, the last weeks. Yes, she was quite ill: We almost lost her. But she pulled through after a huge operation, and she's recovering totally. Thank you for all your wishes, truly. I appreciate every one. Thanks for your comments and wonderful visits---esp as I have no new art. You guys are great... Have a fine Thursday, everyone! Mark -----------------------------------------------------

ROFL! Mark. You really make me laugh and I just luv your cats. They are really good. Amazing what you can do with so few lines. And I love the proud guy to the right with the rooster jaw HAHA! He is awesome. The fabulous little flower was well placed, because NOW we know, why the doggie was staring at that corner :-)

Well yes, I think its about time, you go and get that vaccination against both flu and pneumonia. The winter has just begun.

And I am really happy your dear sister is recovering after all her struggling. But you already know that :-) Warm Hugs from DK

I'm so glad my internet is finally back (been down for 3 days) as I do love your doodles. That guy in the center looks like a deflated cough. Not a pretty site. And you're right, the details in that flower are staggering. But then the dog has staggering qualities of its own. Reminds me of one of my wieners. I'm so very happy your sister is recovering after her horrendous ordeal. Keep doodling, my friend.

I'm happy that your sister is doing well. these doodles? they are too cool and way too much fun. one question... why is the man on the right pulling the cat's tail? I don't foresee a good outcome of that sage nod oh! unless that is a cat balloon he's carrying... if that's the case, then disregard my question. :) take care and no more flu for you!

More of your incomparable sketching skills from years ago revealed in this startling collection of animals and people under extreme duress. Is that dude at the right tickling the cat's rear or giving a Nazi salute? Glad that your sister weathered the storm and that you're feeling better in preparation for your dental work.

These 'doodles' are so carefree and fun, Mark! sometimes it's fun and very relaxing to just sit down with a pencil (or stylus) and just start drawing - it sometimes takes you to amazing places.

Sooo glad to hear the good news about your sister, buddy! That's so stressful and exhausting to go through for all concerned. I pray she is on the road to a full recovery.

Happy New Year, my friend!

(I've got a massive New Year's render cooking.... With any luck it'll finish before next year! LOL)

Oh man, you have an opera singer throwing animals around, what looks like another guy kicking a cat and a dog that's seems to be ready to pee on that flower. That IS what you meant, isn't it????
