I can honestly say I don't think I've ever been on such vast flat open ground in my life. All mountains here. And to anywhere I have traveled have always been big buildings. Fabulous shot, my friend!

We forgive your little error, Richard! Your fine photos more than make up for the 'type' (LOL!) Excellent photo here! Such flat land. Reminds me of North Dakota's red river valley.

I lived in Amarillo many years ago when my dad was stations at the Air Force base that used to be there. I remember how flat it was - lots of open space... What a great photo, Richard! It really captures the feel of the wide open spaces.

again, I'm with the above comments...this is a marvelous shot. It begs to be wall sized. The gentle rush you got, the slight motion blur in a couple of sections, give just the right amount of motion to this shot, to suggest not only space but the painterly long lines of this amazing landscape. I love the texture of the clouds---it looks like a bit of motion blur, but it could be the clouds themselves; either way, it makes a great complement to the ground. (And this is a shot with 2/3 sky---the proportions are just right for this!) Terrific shot. And again, it's not the midwest, but it sure as heck feels like it.
